Buff LRS/1 Cotton ventilated
The type LRS/1 is our most versatile polishing disc. This type of buff may be used for different applications in the treatment of surfaces.
As all of our articles, the TYPE LRS/1 can be manufactured by using different types of cloth in order to determine the finishing quality and the performance. It is suitable for rough-hewing or pre-cleaning (LRS/1 IMPREGNED) and for performing accurate finishing (TYPE LRS/1 AURELIA/FELPATO).
We are able to manufacture the TYPE LRS/1 according to the requests and to the precise criteria related to the elasticity of the discs, with a minimum of 6 layers of cloth and a maximum of 24 layers and held by a serrated metal ring. We provide the fixing plates.
This TYPE LRS/1 is most used on automatic polishing machines. However in can also be used on normal polishers

Buff LRS/3 Cotton Pleated
This type of buff, thanks to the pleating is suitable for bright finishing operations and "immersion" finishing operations. LRS/3 can be used natural or impregnated, with a minimum of 6 layers of cloth and a maximum of 16 layers and held by a serrated metal ring.

Buff RLS/4 Cotton corrugated
The LRS/4 is a solid and compact polishing disc with a -S - profile. It is manufactured using different qualities of cotton and it is used almost exclusively on automatic machines.
The corrugated pleated type allows the manufactoring of a compact surface wheel as the pleats of the disc are inserted in those of the coupled discs.
This type of buff may be used for different applications in the treatment of the surfaces according to the type of fabric and resins.

LRS/6 Sisal quilted buffs
The type LRS/6 sisal is a very versatile polishing disc made by sisal cloth.
The disc is made up of slanting strips of sisal cloth, quilted with stitching at a distance of 5/8/10 mm.
As these buffs are manufactured with an "all bias weave", we succeeded in avoiding the fraying of the sisal cloth and in obtaining a longer product service life.
They are especially suited for automatic polishing machines. It is an excellent buff for performing roughing jobs, as it develops an abrasive strength greater than any other disk of cloth or of tampico. This disc in particular is subjected to impregnation in order to improve consistency, abrasiveness and durability.
In order to obtain good results in the treatment of surfaces, it's very important to choose with care the correct type of sisal cloth. As a matter of fact the quality of fibres does not only determine the service life of the disc, but it also determines the level of abrasion and, consequently, the quality of the metallic surface polished.
This type of disc needs a VENTILATION system, a very important feature for the mechanical surface treatment, since at high temperatures a bad effect on the metal surface occurs. To prevent this negative effect, we recommend to use a metal clinch in order to improve air circulation from the inner diameter to the outside.
Point of attention: all the impregnations reduce the hygroscope property of the sisal fibres. For this reason, it’s necessary to use a grease abrasive compound.

RLS/8 Sisal + Cotton corrugated
The LRS/8 product line is manufactured by using sisal cloth and cotton cloth. Its main application is almost exclusively on automatic machines.
This is a solid disc with a "S" profile that has the advantage of being a very hard and compact buff. (long durability of the buff).
The undulation profile is a characteristic that allows the pleats to be inserted in those of the coupled disk. It is Particularly suitable for roughing operations on steel and iron as it develops an abrasive strength greater than any other disk of cloth or tampico.
As these buffs are manufactured with an "all bias" weave, we succeeded in avoiding the fraying of the sisal cloth extending the service-life .
This buff in particular is subjected to impregnation to improve consistency, abrasiveness and service-life.

LRS/9 Sisal + Cotton Airway (ventilated) Open-Cloth Bias Sisal Buff
The type LRS/9 (Open-Cloth Bias Sisal Buff) is a combination of cotton cloth and sisal fabric sewn together. It gives an excellent performance in preliminary polishing operations, as does type LRS/8, but it is more flexible. The presence of cotton reduces the unravelling of the sisal, increasing its service life and improving the absorption of the compound.
The main feature of this disc is a particular semi-bring finishing.
As for all our product lines, type LRS/9 can be subjected to various types of impregnations according to the customer's requests in order to determine the finishing quality.
The type LRS/9 is produced according to the flexibility degree required with a minimum of 2 layers of cloth and a maximum of 6 layers.

Special Buffs
RLS/13 Cotton Full Disk
Type LRS/13 is a Macro wheel is suited for robot operations. The buff structure is similar to the full disc with concentric stitching.
This Buff replicates the quality and the results obtained by manual finishing operations giving superior results compared to the one obtained by using automatic rotary tables.
Thanks to the wide range of customizations that we can produce in term of diameters, layers, thickness and stitching types this Buff is ideal for the polishing operations for large metal products.
The buffing performance can be additionally enhanced by choosing the type of cloth.
This versatility allows the manufacturing of cotton wheels for roughing with starched fabrics and super finishing wheels produced with "brushed" and "bleached" fabrics. The bleached fabric type undergoes a particular chemical treatment that permanently eliminates all the impurities contained in the cotton fiber, thus guaranteeing the absolute absence of impurities, which could determine, especially in the glossy finish of the alloys, problems such as micro striations and cutting marks, thereby jeopardizing the brilliant final appearance of the object.
RLS/3 Cotton pleated Macro Buff / Disc
The TYPE LRS/3 macro is manufactured with particular construction techniques that allow the automatic formation of elastic and uniform folds to allow the perfect balancing of the buff. The LRS/4 macro can be used both for cleaning and polishing.
The main feature of the wheel is the particular ability to penetrate the piece to be polished, modelling on it and partially wrapping it. This feature allows the crossing of the cleaning cuts in a random manner enhancing the bright aspect of the treated piece ad the glossy effect is the result of a refraction as much as possible perpendicular to the incident ray of light.
The "PLEATING", is very important also for the air ventilation keeping the temperature under control and avoiding particular problems to the material subjected to polishing.
This Macro Buff can be produced by customizing the type of PLEATING, and by varying the number of layers of fabric.
